PHP Backend Developer (Middle–Senior) - Remote

Overview

As a PHP Backend Developer, you will build and maintain the backend services and APIs that power MGID’s advertiser dashboards, directly impacting advertisers’ results.

In Short

• Develop and maintain backend services, microservices, and APIs
• Integrate third-party services and internal libraries
• Model relational schemas and write optimized queries
• Design and document RESTful APIs
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and module tests
• Ensure high code quality via reviews and static analysis
• Configure CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps
• Implement authentication and input validation best practices
• Participate in architecture discussions
• Share knowledge through documentation and mentorship

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional PHP development experience
• Strong skills in Symfony or another MVC framework
• Strong SQL expertise (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Experience designing RESTful APIs
• Consistent application of unit and integration testing
• Fluent in Ukrainian and intermediate English
• Ability to work independently and articulate ideas clearly
• Structured and analytical problem-solving approach
