Accountant - General Accounting (GA) - Remote

Overview

The METRO Global Solution Center is seeking an Accountant to manage general accounting tasks. The role emphasizes impactful solutions and collaboration within a diverse community.

In Short

• Preparing and posting journal entries in the general ledger.
• Performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Accounting for stocks, fixed assets, taxes, and cost provisions.
• Calculating accrued income, expenses, and write-downs.
• Assisting in tax returns and statutory reports preparation.
• Supporting intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitoring general ledger accounts for discrepancies.
• Reporting financial statements in the group reporting system.
• Implementing changes in processes according to IFRS.
• Participating in projects to improve accounting processes.

Requirements

• Experience in accounting.
• Good command of English (B1/B2).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes (nice to have).
• Competence in Excel and financial data analysis.
• Relevant educational background in economics or accounting (nice to have).
