Senior BSA/AML Advisor - Remote

Overview

Mercury is building a financial stack for startups. The AML Advisory team is looking to hire a subject matter expert to help advise investigations teams, risk managers, product owners, and other key stakeholders.

In Short

• Enhance BSA/AML enterprise level standards and review business line policies.
• Maintain expertise in anti-money laundering laws and support business lines.
• Direct assessments to identify gaps in Fraud/TMS and KYC.
• Assess compliance deficiencies and data collection risks.
• Leverage systems and data to identify root causes for challenges.
• Provide guidance on compliance risks and influence process changes.
• Review training materials for accuracy.
• Communicate compliance risk appetite and metrics.
• Collaborate to enhance compliance controls for products.
• Monitor external compliance environment and emerging risks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial services or AML/Fraud functions.
• 5+ years in Legal, Audit, or regulatory experience.
• Current CAMS and/or CFE certification.
• Deep knowledge of financial products and risks.
• Familiarity with financial crimes tooling and technologies.
• Self-starter in a regulated, evolving environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset.
