Senior Product Manager - Spend Controls and STIP - Remote

Overview

Marqeta is hiring for a Senior Product Manager - Spend Controls and STIP to join the Risk, Fraud and Disputes team. As a Product Manager, you will own the Spend Controls and Stand-In Processing (STIP) solutions for Marqeta. You will be in charge of challenging the status quo and creating revolutionary transaction authorization capabilities at Marqeta. You will strike the right balance between providing customers granular control over transactions while ensuring optimal system performance and reliability. You will be an experienced payments professional with a deep understanding of authorization controls, real-time transaction processing, and program management. You will partner with a diverse set of teams including engineering, operations, risk, legal, GTM and marketing.

• Develop highly configurable and resilient authorization solutions that balance customer control needs with system performance.
• Drive the adoption and optimization of Spend Controls and STIP solutions, balancing transaction approval rates with customer experience.
• Represent Marqeta in industry events as a thought leader in transaction authorization and controls.
• Collaborate across customer-facing and technical teams to prioritize features.
• Create well-defined Product Requirement Documents focusing on customer and business value.
• Deliver customer value iteratively, managing products through various launch phases.
• Act as technical advisor to educate and evangelize feature(s) with customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years in product management roles designing and delivering payment authorization and control solutions.
• Proven track record of setting vision and strategy for a product area.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in identifying key metrics and analyzing data.
• “Roll up your sleeves” mentality to make your products and team successful.
• Creativity and customer empathy to translate features into user flows.
