Investment Banking Analyst, Leveraged Lending - Remote

Overview

This role supports the execution of Investment Banking or Capital Markets mandates, assisting with administrative duties related to structuring, originating, and executing transactions.

In Short

• Support Associates and Senior Associates in generating and executing capital advisory solutions.
• Create deal materials such as term sheets and internal approval memos.
• Maintain knowledge of the economy and market conditions.
• Prepare accurate deal materials for review.
• Ensure compliance with bank Credit and Risk requirements.
• Act as a primary contact for supporting teams in the Investment Bank Middle Office.
• Drive recruiting efforts for Interns and Analyst classes.
• Identify risk-related issues and escalate to management.
• Promote an inclusive environment reflecting the M&T Bank brand.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 2 years of experience required, or a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education/work experience.
• Strong analytical skills including spreadsheet and financial modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, Series 79, Series 63 required within 6 months of hire.
