Building Automation Controls Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Building Automation Controls Engineer supports Macy’s Inc. Energy Management Systems (EMS/BMS) in both new and existing stores, distribution centers, and offices. The primary responsibility includes EMS software development and management of support systems technologies, with a focus on the primary EMS platforms of Schneider Electric Andover and Schneider Electric EcoStruxure. The Engineer collaborates with the Facilities Call Center, EMS Field Engineers, maintenance personnel, and external contractors to support building systems and enhance the customer shopping experience.

• Evaluate, test, and implement upgrades to EMS hardware or software platforms.
• Monitor and analyze systems continuously to maintain or achieve energy savings.
• Ensure compliance with corporate EMS standards.
• Provide support for the Enterprise EMS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Macy’s IT staff on EMS database management.
• Coordinate efforts of internal resources and third-party vendors for EMS implementation.
• Provide 2nd level Call Center support as required.
• Manage the process for retro commissioning of new and existing stores.
• Evaluate and implement new EMS technologies and strategies.
• Prepare documentation for project development.

Requirements

• Expertise in Energy Management System (EMS) programming and support.
