Associate Lighting Designer - Remote

Overview

The Associate Lighting Designer will assist project leads with producing detailed project design materials, ensuring designs meet company standards and participating in QAQC processes.

• Assist project leads with design materials.

• Conduct fixture research and lighting studies.
• Translate designer markups into project documents.
• Attend project meetings and take notes.
• Travel to project sites as needed (estimated 25%).
• Continue professional development for emerging technologies.
• Produce design documents including schedules and reports.
• Communicate with manufacturers on behalf of the designer.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in lighting and show design.
• Proficient in Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of theatrical lighting design.
• Ability to read architectural blueprints.
• Strong understanding of lighting design technology.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Fluent in English.
