Project Manager - Renewable Energy - Remote

Overview

The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects to ensure project objectives are accomplished safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role is responsible for leading solar PV, battery energy storage system (BESS), and hybrid projects from late-stage development through commercial operations, either personally or through coordination of internal and external project teams.

• Manage design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of renewable energy projects.
• Develop and execute project execution plans including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Establish and manage project budgets and forecasts.
• Provide technical support for development, permitting, and interconnection activities.
• Ensure compliance with construction contracts and safety regulations.
• Lead project meetings and provide status reporting to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with utilities on interconnection agreement tasks.
• Support construction and financing activities.
• Oversee project team members and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Travel up to 50% to project sites.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience managing utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Experience as a Project Manager or Owner’s Representative on renewable energy projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracting and project controls.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret financial reports and prepare forecasts.
• Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites.
• Valid driver’s license.
