RFE Paralegal for Immigration Law Firm - Remote

Overview

The RFE Paralegal will work directly with the legal support staff and attorneys on tasks including drafting, fact-finding projects, and revisions for cases submitted to USCIS that require additional evidence.

• Full-Time: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm EST
• Pay rate: $9/hour
• Type of contract: Independent contractor
• At least one year’s experience in family-based or humanitarian immigration required
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Perform thorough case reviews of returned documents
• Draft cover letters and RFE responses
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Proficient with MS Office and other legal software

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or equivalent experience
• Associates degree in paralegal studies or related field preferred
• Experience with immigration applications preferred
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
• Ability to provide creative solutions to client obstacles
• Attention to detail when handling legal documents
• Ability to meet deadlines to ensure client satisfaction
