Data Engineering Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineering Engineer to join our team at Lean Tech, where you will develop and optimize enterprise-scale dashboards and datasets using Tableau, Power BI, and SQL while supporting reporting initiatives across Engineering.

In Short

• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and datasets on an Enterprise Tableau Server.
• Build and manage dashboards in Power BI as needed.
• Write and optimize enterprise-scale SQL queries to support reporting and data analysis needs.
• Utilize ETL tools such as Informatica Power Center, Tableau Prep, or Power Query to prepare and transform data.
• Work with enterprise data warehouses and multiple database environments, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
• Conduct extensive data analysis and discovery work to support business objectives.
• Participate in agile workflows, including daily stand-ups and weekly sprint cadences.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Tableau dashboard development and management.
• Proficiency in SQL (MS SQL, Postgres, MySQL).
• Moderate knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, Tableau Prep, or Power Query.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse querying and star schema design.
• Experience in Power BI dashboard development and management.
• Experience working across multiple database environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to uncover insights.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint-based development.
