Overview

As a Senior Node Operations Engineer at Kraken, you will join a mission-focused team dedicated to building systems that manage blockchain nodes and protect client funds.

In Short

• Develop systems for automatic backup, monitoring, and remediation of blockchain nodes.
• Code Kubernetes Operators and leverage Helm charts for deploying blockchain nodes.
• Implement SLO-based monitoring and alerting for blockchain nodes.
• Troubleshoot and debug blockchains while identifying performance issues.
• Write high-quality policies and technical documentation.
• Be on call for issues with blockchain nodes and work towards automatic remediation.

Requirements

• 7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Proficiency in a modern application development language.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of GNU/Linux systems and low-level debugging.
• Experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of TCP/IP network stack and security best practices.
• Ability to communicate technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
