Overview

As a Data Centre Operations Engineer at Kraken, you will be part of a hands-on team managing network and compute infrastructure for a leading cryptocurrency exchange.

In Short

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on critical exchange infrastructure
• Install complex server and networking infrastructure
• Provide hands-on facility support for equipment management
• Manage asset and inventory for the data centre
• Oversee contractors and vendors on-site
• Bootstrap physical infrastructure via management networks
• Assist with basic networking configuration
• Monitor and maintain physical infrastructure
• Assume on-call responsibilities
• Travel as needed to support data centre locations

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in data centre operations
• 3+ years experience in a large-scale data centre environment
• Experience with power, cooling, and airflow management
• Basic knowledge of IP addressing and subnet management
• Excellent communication skills for technical issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
• Desire to learn new technology
• Passionate about data centre engineering and security
• Physical ability to lift more than 25 kgs
• Valid passport and driving license required
