A Senior Editor at KQED leads a team of journalists to report and produce news and feature content that informs and connects with our audience in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Minimum four years experience in journalism.
  • Excellent reporting and editing skills.
  • Strong news judgment and time management skills.
  • Thorough command of journalistic principles and ethics.
  • Experience in sound editing and radio production.
  • Experience with digital editing and production.
  • Ability to work inclusively with diverse staff.
  • Proven collaboration skills across departments.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Understanding of media laws and licensing agreements.
