Overview

This is a rare opportunity to own and shape the design system for one of Canada’s top fintech companies. As Senior Design Systems & UI Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining KOHO’s design system across web, mobile, and marketing experiences, ensuring pixel-perfect execution, usability, and scalability.

In Short

• Own the creation, refinement, and expansion of KOHO’s design system.
• Establish and maintain scalable UI components and design tokens.
• Define component properties and interactions for usability.
• Continuously audit and refine system components.
• Define governance models for design system consistency.
• Apply high standards of UI and interaction design.
• Ensure design consistency and accessibility in updates.
• Collaborate with engineers for design and development alignment.
• Develop clear documentation for design system usage.
• Perform regular health checks on the design system.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in visual/UI design.
• Deep knowledge of design systems principles.
• Expertise in Figma and design libraries.
• Strong visual design skills including typography and layout.
• Experience in both brand and product design.
• Understanding of accessibility best practices.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Advocate for design system adoption.
