Overview

As an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) at knownwell, you will work alongside a team of committed healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive medical care focused on obesity and related conditions.

In Short

  • Work in a hybrid model providing both in-clinic and virtual care.
  • Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team including physicians and dietitians.
  • Focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of obesity.
  • Flexible scheduling with a minimum of 32 patient contact hours.
  • Participate in on-call rotations approximately every 7-8 weeks.
  • Utilize EMR system (Athena) for documentation and billing.
  • Engage in continuous education and training for weight management.
  • Prioritize inclusive and compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients through a dedicated portal.
  • Encourage patients to achieve their health goals.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (MSN) or equivalent in Physician Assistant studies.
  • Unrestricted DEA licensure and prescribing authority.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care.
  • Active license to practice in Illinois.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to staying current in primary care and obesity medicine.
  • High emotional intelligence and patient-centered approach.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
