Product Cost Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Product Cost Engineer at Knix, you will ensure our products are innovative and high-performing while maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste. You will work with factory partners and internal teams to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

In Short

• Identify opportunities to improve raw material utilization and drive efficiencies.
• Recommend best practices for marker creation and fabric utilization.
• Execute techniques to drive meaningful change to existing production processes.
• Conduct work studies, time studies, and motion analysis.
• Take ownership over bulk processes including cutting and bonding.
• Map out end-to-end manufacturing workflows.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Sourcing teams.
• Build and maintain reports capturing efficiency metrics.
• Ensure sustainability of process improvements.
• Support quarterly vendor performance reviews.

Requirements

• Apparel or Fashion Degree (or equivalent experience).
• 8–10 years experience with apparel manufacturers.
• Expert knowledge of pattern-making and CAD software.
• Deep understanding of apparel production processes.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach.
• Experience evaluating styles for process improvements.
• Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and PLM systems.
• Ability to manage multiple cost optimization projects.
