HR Classification Specialist - Remote

Overview

This part-time HR Classification Specialist role involves supporting the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) in Washington, D.C. The specialist will focus on reviewing and classifying General Schedule (GS) positions, conducting desk audits, and preparing accurate position descriptions and evaluation statements according to U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in classification of GS positions.
• Experience in applying OPM classification standards.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of federal HR practices.
• Strong analytical skills for duties and classification criteria.
• Skilled in writing clear position descriptions.
• Excellent communication skills.
