Vice President of Technology - Remote

Overview

The KIPP Foundation is seeking a Vice President of Technology who will provide strategic leadership on the organization’s technology infrastructure and support the KIPP network of 28 regions.

In Short

• Lead the design, acquisition, management, and implementation of technology infrastructure.
• Work closely with various departments to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
• Oversee a technology team of 10-15 employees.
• Develop and implement a strategic technology plan.
• Ensure technology systems are secure and compliant with regulations.
• Manage technology budget effectively.
• Provide professional development and mentorship to team members.
• Establish relationships with technology vendors.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Facilitate change management and communication across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technology management.
• 8+ years in a leadership role managing teams of 10-15 employees.
• Experience in large-scale change management.
• Proficiency in various technology platforms (e.g., Microsoft SQL, Azure).
• Proven track record in managing complex technology projects.
• Experience with vendor management and budget oversight.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Ability to foster a culture of learning and innovation.
• Excellent communication and change management skills.
