Senior Project Controls Engineer - Remote

Overview

Kaufman Lynn Construction is seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to play a key role in driving diverse, large-scale projects across Southeast Florida. With approximately 75% remote flexibility, this position blends autonomy with hands-on involvement at our Delray Beach office and active jobsites.

In Short

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and effective progress tracking systems.
• Lead and facilitate pull planning sessions to optimize project delivery.
• Perform delay analyses and prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA) reports.
• Collaborate with the operations team to define the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).
• Prepare both preliminary and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) detailed schedules for projects.
• Generate and distribute variance reports as needed.
• Coordinate schedule updates with the operations team, clients, and subcontractors.
• Chair biweekly meetings with operations to update schedules and review project progress.
• Track progress by updating percentage completion and resource costs.
• Analyze schedules and incorporate change orders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years in construction, including at least 5 years of scheduling experience.
• Background in multifamily and high-rise construction required.
• Expert proficiency in Primavera Project Planner (P6).
• Skilled in preparing Project Logistics Plans.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
