Assistant Controller - Remote

Overview

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Assistant Corporate Controller at KalVista Pharmaceuticals, responsible for various accounting functions and team management.

In Short

• Lead and develop accounting staff.
• Manage accounts payable systems and payroll.
• Ensure timely general ledger close procedures.
• Oversee international accounting operations.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience in life science/pharmaceutical companies preferred.
• Strong team management skills.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage Intact, SAP).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
