Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions. This role is an opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager to stretch into a Controller path by managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results. The Accounting Manager will coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements while overseeing a small offshore team.

In Short

• Directs and maintains month-end close process
• Books and/or review journal entries, including monthly accruals, prepaids, depreciation and amortization schedules, etc.
• Ensures that all accounting processes are running smoothly (A/R, A/P, Payroll, GAAP application, etc.)
• Maintains and enforces a documented set of accounting policies and procedures
• Maintains chart of accounts
• Researches, understands, and solves complex accounting issues
• Liaises with external audit, tax, and valuation firm
• Provides input to annual budget and forecasts
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
• Holds monthly meetings with leadership positions

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of accounting experience
• SaaS Industry experience
• Start-up Background
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace or related software
• CPA preferred
