As a Senior Data Architect at Sarah Cannon Research Institute, you will play a pivotal role in driving our database strategy across all products, ensuring robust and scalable data solutions that support our mission to advance oncology treatments.

In Short

  • Design and manage the organization's data infrastructure.
  • Create a blueprint for data collection, storage, processing, and usage.
  • Develop a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Design data models representing the structure and relationships of data.
  • Implement data governance policies ensuring data quality and security.
  • Evaluate and recommend data management technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into solutions.
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues for integrity and reliability.
  • Integrate AI models with existing data infrastructures.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA across data systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise data architecture.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in database engineering/management.
  • Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies like Azure and AWS.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with database migration tools and strategies.
  • Understanding of data modeling for relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Expertise in modern cloud-native database solutions.
