Performance Test Engineer - Remote

Overview

Corelight is seeking an experienced performance test engineer to validate the performance, reliability, and scalability of the Corelight network sensor, focusing on testing in virtual and cloud environments at scale.

In Short

• Tackle system performance issues and optimize product performance.
• Collaborate with developers, engineering leaders, and product managers.
• Support teams in troubleshooting problems.
• Analyze and debug complex system performance issues.
• Provide dashboards and self-service tooling for collaborators.
• Isolate the origin of issues from Linux network processing to traffic mix.
• Work with statistical significance to prioritize tasks.
• Help map symptoms into real work impact.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a quality engineering professional.
• 2+ years in performance/scalability/reliability testing of network systems.
• 2+ years of professional coding experience (Python or Go preferred).
• 1+ year experience with Ixia, Spirent, or T-rex traffic generators.
• 1+ years of network security experience.
• Effective communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement.
