Senior Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Design Engineer reports to the Design Architect and collaborates with other agile, cross-functional teams to craft consistent and successful end-user experiences.

• Drive the implementation of holistic development across products, ensuring development aligns with designs.
• Influence and collaborate broadly across product, business, and design teams to promote consistency and scalability.
• Partner closely with Design Architect, Product Designers, Front-end Architect, Developers, and Product Owners to build and maintain consistent and systemic components.
• Collaborate with product managers to review stories and functional requirements for new features and initiatives.
• Work in an agile environment partnering with product teams, frontend architects, and developers to implement systemic front-end components.
• Ensures design solutions are implemented systematically.

• At least five years of relevant professional experience contributing to a design system.
• Proficient in front-end development technologies.
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of WCAG and WAI-ARIA guidelines.
• Experienced with Figma, Style Dictionary, Storybook, and Chromatic.
• Skilled in Git/GitHub, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
• Willingness to travel approximately once per quarter.
• Ability to solve problems quickly by identifying root causes.
• Self-motivated, eager to seek out problems.
• Understanding that user experience is key.
• Excitement about making an impact.
