Lab Technician - Remote

Overview

The Lab Technician position supports the Engineering and Quality Departments by performing inspections and testing of products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.

In Short

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of products.
• Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers and depth gages.
• Document inspection results and perform statistical analyses.
• Support the quality department with root cause analyses.
• Evaluate and improve inspection/test procedures.
• Assist in training employees on new testing procedures.
• Conduct in-process audits to visual standards.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Follow quality, manufacturing, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Experience with measuring equipment.
• Understanding of basic statistics.
• 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience.
• Strong mathematical knowledge including fractions and ratios.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret information.
• Specific vision abilities required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
