In Short

• Develop and utilize design pipelines for optical metasurfaces.
• Instruct on fabricating metasurfaces for quantum computing systems.
• Work with engineers and physicists on trapped-ion quantum computing modules.
• Build micro-optics and metalens design workflows.
• Model and optimize meta-atom libraries using various techniques.
• Perform automated sensitivity and tolerance analysis on optical systems.
• Maintain high-quality scripts and models through reviews.
• Drive research efforts in modeling metalenses in complex systems.
• Identify and resolve technical risks and roadblocks.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in optical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in design and optimization of optical metalenses.
• 3+ years of programming experience in Python or Matlab.
• Experience with photonic device simulation tools.
• Experience with raytracing and optical design tools.
• Strong data processing and visualization skills.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes for metalenses.
