Electrical Inspector - Field Evaluations - Remote

Overview

The Electrical Inspector - Field Evaluations position at Intertek is responsible for performing field evaluations on energized electrical products to ensure compliance with standards and codes, while working remotely from the Bay Area.

In Short

• Perform tests and measurements on electrical products.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Record ambient conditions at job sites.
• Document corrective actions and communicate findings.
• Travel at least 75% of the time.
• Issue reports summarizing inspection results.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Work independently and define problems.
• Ability to lift/carry at least 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

• Associate degree in technical field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC).
• Ability to read and interpret standards.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Physical ability to climb at least 30 feet.
• 5+ years of City inspector/AHJ experience preferred.
• IAEI membership preferred.
