Senior Oracle Database Administrator - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. This role requires 10+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Administrator and at least 3+ years of experience with MS SQL and PostgreSQL to maintain a reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant database infrastructure for our growing customer base.

In Short

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot RHEL/OEL OS supporting Oracle databases.
• Provide DBA services to application development and support teams.
• Troubleshoot database alerts and resolve performance-related issues.
• Automate database tasks and develop scripts to improve efficiency.
• Lead the design and implementation of database infrastructure solutions.
• Manage the implementation of technical controls for security policies.
• Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery methodologies.
• Research and recommend new database software versions and tools.
• Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog or Solarwinds.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Oracle 19c+ administration.
• 3+ years of experience with MS SQL 2012+ and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience using Solarwinds as a monitoring tool.
• Strong expertise in PL/SQL coding and debugging.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and bash scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and PowerShell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure design and security best practices.
• Experience with high-availability database solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
