Overview

Initiate Government Solutions (IGS) is a fully remote IT services provider focused on delivering innovative solutions across the federal sector, particularly in data analytics and health informatics. We are currently seeking a Statistical Software Programmer to support our work with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

In Short

  • Lead statistical programming activities using software such as R, SAS, and SPSS.
  • Create datasets and automate analysis tools.
  • Collaborate with biostatisticians and clinical data management staff.
  • Develop programs for data review and quality control.
  • Adhere to regulations and troubleshoot project issues.
  • Work remotely and access VA systems.
  • Some travel may be required for client meetings.
  • Produce accurate and defensively programmed outputs.
  • Maintain documentation and oversee programming quality control.
  • Support ad-hoc requests as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in statistics, data science, or related field.
  • Two years of experience in statistical programming with R.
  • Knowledge of Python, C++, and JAVA script.
  • Experience with large-scale data analysis and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with medical ontologies and EHR data.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
