NLP/LLM Research Intern - Remote

Overview

This internship role is focused on cutting-edge research in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) within the gaming industry, aiming to drive innovation through advanced technology.

In Short

• Drive and contribute to cutting-edge research projects in NLP/ML.
• Develop benchmarks and baselines using publicly available datasets.
• Train large language models (LLMs) on innovative, practical tasks.
• Publish research findings at leading NLP/ML/AI conferences and in top journals.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a PhD in NLP, ML, or a related field.
• At least one publication in a top-tier NLP/ML conference or journal.
• Hands-on experience with Python and deep learning libraries.
• Experience with supervised fine-tuning of LLMs and LLM applications in gaming.
• Full-time availability of 37.5 hours per week with supervisor and university approval.
• Work in a diverse and innovative environment at Tencent.

Requirements

• PhD candidate or recent PhD graduate in NLP, ML, or related area.
• Publication record in top-tier conferences or journals (e.g., ACL, NeurIPS).
• Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face, and Transformers.
• Knowledge in LLM fine-tuning and applications.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
