Data Analyst - Remote

Overview

This position is for a Data Analyst who will transform complex data into actionable insights to improve public systems and services, supporting a major digital modernization initiative.

In Short

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops for reporting and analytics requirements.
• Perform deep data profiling and analysis across legacy systems.
• Collaborate with data engineers on migrating legacy reports to a cloud-based data mart.
• Design and validate modular BI solutions.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for data pipelines.
• Participate in Agile sprint cycles.
• Conduct data validation and QA testing for new reports and dashboards.
• Guide end users toward self-service analytics capabilities.
• Work with project teams to plan and manage Agile Sprints.
• Utilize SQL, Python, and BI tools like Tableau and PowerBI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in data analysis.
• US Citizen or Permanent Lawful Resident preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL for complex datasets.
• Experience with BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with ETL and data pipeline processes.
• Strong understanding of data storytelling and HCD principles.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Knowledge of AI/ML models in analytics pipelines.
• Excellent time management and client discussion skills.
