Utilization Management Onsite Nurse - Remote

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Utilization Management Nurse 2 utilizes clinical nursing skills to support the coordination, documentation and communication of medical services and/or benefit administration determinations.

In Short

• Utilizes clinical nursing skills to support medical services coordination.
• Work assignments require interpretation and independent determination.
• This is a hybrid position with limited hours working from home.
• Located at CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
• Requires RN License in Kentucky or a Compact state license.
• 2+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Travel to hospital/provider for onsite reviews is required.
• Eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on performance.

Requirements

• RN License without restrictions in Kentucky or a Compact state.
• Located within a 1-hour driving distance to CHI St. Joseph Hospital.
• 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in acute care.
• Independent critical thinking skills required.
• Valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation necessary.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in discharge planning or case management is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are a plus.
