Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

Homeward is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee real estate property accounting entries and reconciliations, ensuring timely communication and alignment within the Transactions team.

In Short

• Manage a team of 3 to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Assess and improve accounting processes regularly.
• Review home purchase and sale accounting activities.
• Create reports in Netsuite and analyze data in Excel.
• Assist in month-end close explanations.
• Provide feedback to team members for growth.
• Respond to inquiries via email or Slack.
• Participate in other accounting projects as necessary.

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Organizational skills for task tracking.
• Ability to manage multiple requests calmly.
• Solution-oriented problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables).
• Preferred experience in real estate transactions.
• Experience with Netsuite is preferred.
