Robotic AI Prototyping Researcher - Remote

Overview

Homebrew is looking for an experienced Researcher to lead our robotic AI prototyping efforts.

In Short

• Work at the intersection of AI & robotics
• Design robotics systems, incorporating AI, advanced sensors and controls
• Collaborate with software engineers and AI experts on system integration and performance
• Solve interesting sim2real problems
• Stay updated with industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation within our products

Requirements

• Python / C++ proficiency
• Minimum 3 years of experience in robotic design and implementation
• Familiarity with some of the following: ROS2, OpenCV, Lidar/SLAM, Matlab/simulink, etc
• Strong background in electrical systems integration and control theory

Bonus Requirements

• Experience with SBCs, microcontroller, or low level chip design
• Experience working across embodiments from humanoids to industrial manipulators
• Experience working on robotics projects from concept to production
• Expertise in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor), simulation tools (e.g. ISAAC SIM), and manufacturing processes
• Experience implementing Vision-Language Action Models in robotic systems
