Utilization Review Registered Nurse - Remote

Overview

The Utilization Review Registered Nurse will utilize clinical knowledge and communication skills to assess patient conditions and determine if proposed treatments meet accepted criteria for outpatient treatment or inpatient confinement.

In Short

• Work from home 50% of the time after training.
• No nights, weekends, or holidays.
• Monday through Friday position, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Complete first level reviews for medical cases.
• Communicate with hospital staff and providers effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of current medical advances and trends.
• Participate in self-evaluation and accept constructive criticism.
• Provide certification for medical, disability, and workers compensation cases.
• Work in a remote/hybrid setting once trained.

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted nursing license in the state of employment.
• Successful completion of UR nurse orientation program.
• Minimum of 3 years recent acute clinical practice required.
• Experience in managed care or workers compensation helpful.
• Customer service orientation is essential.
