RN Cardiac Cath Lab (Full Time Days) - Remote

Overview

The Cath Lab nurse provides specialized care to patients undergoing cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while developing critical care skills in a fast-paced environment.

In Short

• Provide care during cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist physicians with specialized equipment and procedures.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure informed consent.
• Maintain documentation and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and procedural techniques.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Participate in inventory control and equipment maintenance.
• Cross-train in various areas as needed.
• Provide nurse-to-nurse handoff for continuity of care.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in PA or multi-state licensure.
• BLS and ACLS Certification required.
• Act 34, 33, and 73 clearances.
• Experience in cardiac care preferred.
• Certification in specialty area encouraged within five years.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures.
• Commitment to patient-centered care.
• Adherence to ethical and legal standards in nursing practice.
