Overview

The Athletic Trainer I position involves recognizing, managing, and rehabilitating injuries for athletes of all levels while ensuring effective communication with various stakeholders in the athletic program.

In Short

  • Evaluate and manage athlete injuries.
  • Act as a liaison between athletes, parents, and medical staff.
  • Prepare athletes for practice and competition.
  • Implement treatment and rehabilitation programs under supervision.
  • Develop functional training and conditioning programs.
  • Maintain medical files and records for each athlete.
  • Assist with facility cleaning and equipment management.
  • Communicate with school administrators and coaches.
  • Ensure compliance with concussion management laws.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current state licensure as a certified Athletic Trainer.
  • NATA certification or equivalent.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Criminal background clearances (Act 34, Act 33, Act 73).
  • 0-1 years of experience preferred.
  • Experience with concussion testing software.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Current state driver’s license.
  • Strong communication skills.
