In Short

• Administer the e-billing system (SimpleLegal) – Maintain accurate matter and vendor data, and ensure smooth operation of billing processes.
• Act as the main point of contact for law firms – Handle billing-related inquiries and provide guidance on billing procedures and compliance.
• Review and approve legal invoices – Ensure accuracy, adherence to billing guidelines, and timely processing.
• Monitor compliance with billing policies – Track adherence to outside counsel guidelines and flag any inconsistencies.
• Prepare and analyze reports – Deliver insights on legal spend, budgeting trends, and outside counsel performance.
• Support budget forecasting and legal spend planning – Collaborate with legal and finance teams to align on cost tracking.
• Onboard new law firms to the billing platform – Facilitate setup and ensure firms understand system use and compliance standards.
• Manage the shared legal inbox and assist with operational tasks – Triage incoming messages and support day-to-day coordination.

Requirements

• Experience with e-billing systems, preferably SimpleLegal.
• Strong understanding of legal billing processes and compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills for report preparation and analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively with law firms and internal teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in data management and tracking.
• Experience in budget forecasting and legal spend management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
