Founding Product Designer - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a Founding Designer to shape the future of design at Heartbeat. You’ll own everything from UX flows to design systems — and play a key role in helping thousands of community businesses grow. You’ll join a high-output, tight-knit team building a category-defining platform.

In Short

• Design product experiences end-to-end — from ideation through launch
• Own and rebuild our design system in Figma to support scale across web, mobile, & marketing
• Audit and improve UX flows across the platform with usability and customer empathy top-of-mind
• Work directly with our founding PM to ship features that create real business impact
• Value autonomy and enjoy working with a small, senior, low-ego team
• Crave ownership and the ability to shape both product and process
• Collaborate across functions and give thoughtful feedback

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing real products — from early concepts to shipped features
• Obsessed with great UX and understanding users deeply
• Care about craft and sweat the details
• Practically minded with the ability to balance speed vs polish
• Think in systems and know how to build scalable components
• Bring curiosity and explore problems with a wide lens
• Collaborative and humble in your approach
• Know how to tell a story through prototypes and pitches
• Proactively go the extra mile for users and stakeholders
