Overview

The role involves building and maintaining pipelines, focusing on scalability and performance for the development of the open-source wiki software BlueSpice.

In Short

  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure a stable and scalable infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for software deployment in an agile environment.
  • Monitor performance, scalability, and availability of applications and infrastructures.
  • Ensure systems are highly available, secure, and efficient.
  • Implement and maintain DevOps tools and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Support the introduction of new technologies and tools for platform development.
  • Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in web product development with good knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, databases (MySQL, MariaDB), and web servers (e.g., Apache/IIS).
  • Familiarity with distributed systems components and concepts.
  • Professional experience with Docker, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
  • Interest in using various tools and trying new things.
  • Structured, solution-oriented, and strong team and communication skills.
  • Highly conscientious and able to self-organize.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
