Senior Insider Threat Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Senior Insider Threat Analyst is responsible for mitigating, identifying, and responding to insider threat security events, working within a trusted cybersecurity team to protect organizational assets.

• Identify and respond to insider threat security events.
• Analyze alerts from DLP, UEBA, and other monitoring tools.
• Characterize information from cybersecurity tools to identify threats.
• Coordinate with cyber defense staff to validate network alerts.
• Analyze security incidents for trends and propose risk mitigation solutions.
• Develop insider threat use cases and tune DLP and UEBA rules.
• Integrate new data sources to identify insider threat activity.
• Conduct open-source research on industry trends.
• Prepare reports summarizing insider events.
• Deliver insider threat awareness briefings and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Skill in collecting and interpreting cybersecurity data.
• Knowledge of DLP, UEBA, and logging applications.
• Understanding of incident response methodologies.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and security methodologies.
• Familiarity with operating systems and scripting languages.
• Understanding of cyber-attack stages and techniques.
• Ability to conduct trend analysis.
