• GuidePoint Security is looking for an Application Security Engineer.
• The role is remote, available to candidates in VA, MD, PA, NC, DE, NJ, or DC.
• Proficiency in Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools is required.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and processes is essential.
• Software engineering experience, ideally in full stack development, is preferred.
• Strong scripting and automation skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of application security fundamentals, including OWASP Top 10, is required.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 3-5 years of security engineering experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Proficiency with SAST tools like Semgrep, Snyk, CodeQL, etc.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience in software engineering and modern application architectures.
• Strong scripting experience in programming languages.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices throughout the SDLC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
