Software Engineering Manager - Remote

Overview

The Software Engineering Manager will lead a Software Engineering team as a hands-on expert for the Groups360 platform and be its Champion amongst other department teams.

In Short

• Translate business requirements into practical code designs and development plans.
• Lead a Software Engineering team delivering code for a tech stack that includes ReactJS, Ruby/Rails, Python, .NET, and PostgreSQL.
• Work on a micro-services architecture for both front end and back end.
• Integrate code with a deployment-safe, test-driven, CI/CD pipeline.
• Oversee unit tests to ensure quality workmanship.
• Responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining technical talent.
• Partner with the Product Development Team to plan implementation strategies.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and maintain that culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years management experience.
• 8+ years of development experience.
• 5 years of experience focused in ReactJS (advanced proficiency).
• Basic knowledge of Python.
• Fluent in consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with Design Patterns.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational & analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
