Senior Mobile Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

Gridwise is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mobile Software Engineer to join our App team. This role will primarily be responsible for owning and leading the technical design and implementation of new features for our gig driver React Native mobile app.

In Short

• Work as part of a small team consisting of engineering, product, and design.
• Own the development of new app features and UI components from prototypes and wireframes.
• Leverage Native APIs for tight integrations across both Android and iOS platforms.
• Introduce and execute on mobile CI/CD strategies to streamline development and release cycles.
• Write automated tests to ensure error-free code and performance.
• Elevate team knowledge and skill sets through documentation, demos, code review, and discussion.
• Create frontend modules with maximum code reusability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, build, and deliver projects with urgency.
• Provide technical mentorship and constructive feedback to fellow engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of mobile engineering experience.
• 3+ years functioning in a senior Mobile Engineering role.
• 3+ years of experience with React Native, Typescript.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and frontend frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of React fundamentals.
• Understanding of the full mobile app development lifecycle.
• Ability to make critical system-level design decisions and drive projects.
• Experience with React Native automated testing frameworks and tools.
