RN Health Care Facility Surveyor - Remote

Overview

The RN Health Care Facility Surveyor will work remotely while traveling to healthcare facilities nationwide to assess compliance with regulations guiding the quality of care.

In Short

• 100% remote position with up to 75% travel.
• Conduct on-site surveys for compliance with Federal regulations.
• Evaluate quality of care and consumer rights at healthcare facilities.
• Communicate non-compliance issues and facilitate understanding with facility personnel.
• Assist with facility and bureau training.
• Participate in various types of surveys including re-certification and complaint investigations.
• Review records and conduct interviews during surveys.
• Conduct follow-up visits to ensure plans of correction are implemented.
• Work with a Quality Improvement Consulting Company.
• Apply approved survey protocols for conducting on-site surveys.

Requirements

• CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT certification required.
• Experience in health care facility surveys preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to travel extensively.
• Knowledge of Federal regulations related to healthcare.
• Ability to evaluate compliance and quality of care.
• Team player with leadership skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong observational skills.
• Experience in training and mentoring staff.
• Professional RN license required.
