In Short

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining features for recommendation systems and supporting applications.
• Building and optimizing high-throughput, low-latency services capable of handling significant traffic loads.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive automated testing suites (unit, integration, and functional tests).
• Collaborating with ML engineers to implement and optimize recommendation algorithms.
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive technical feedback to team members.
• Engaging in on-call rotation to support production systems and resolve critical issues.
• Partnering with product management to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Providing technical guidance on implementation complexity, feasibility, and alternative approaches.
• Contributing to system architecture decisions and technical roadmap planning.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional Python development experience with demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code.
• Advanced SQL query writing and optimization skills, with strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and Helm for application deployment and management.
• Basic knowledge of Apache Airflow for data pipeline orchestration.
• Strong foundation in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity analysis.
• Self-motivated with strong ownership mentality and ability to deliver results independently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirements.
• Experience participating in agile development processes.
