We need an English-fluent Data Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.

In Short

• Build a real-time market data ingestion service consuming streaming equity data via WebSockets from Polygon.io.
• Handle high-throughput data streams covering approximately 1,500 equities.
• Aggregate and organize streaming data by time slices for model consumption.
• Implement redundancy mechanisms for data feed interruptions.
• Deliver processed data to the trading model daily.
• Validate and maintain the historical data pipeline from S3.
• Ensure historical data is updated daily and ready for back-testing.
• Instrument the pipeline with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Integrate with existing position monitoring components.
• Coordinate with a DevOps engineer on infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ Years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience building and operating real-time streaming data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Go and/or C.
• Experience consuming market data via WebSockets.
• Familiarity with AWS services and containerized environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
• Ability to work independently and communicate proactively.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving team.
