Staff Accountant – GDI Americas - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant will support a growing Finance and Operations team at an efficient and high-performing international organization, responsible for maintaining the organization’s accounting records and supporting subsidiaries and incubated initiatives.

In Short

• Perform full cycle accounts payable and disbursements functions.
• Handle full cycle accounts receivable and receipts functions.
• Develop and maintain electronic filing systems for accounting files.
• Manage accounting schedules, perform bank reconciliation, and prepare month-end closing entries.
• Monitor project expenditure for compliance with budget and GAAP.
• Support financial oversight of sub-recipients.
• Assist with annual audit and tax form preparation.
• Provide additional support to the Finance and Operations team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 2-3 years of experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks required.
• Proficiency with GAAP required.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Desire to learn new skills and work in an evolving environment.
• Able to manage competing priorities effectively.
