Overview

GiveDirectly (GD) aims to reshape international giving – and millions of lives – by providing cash grants directly to the world’s poorest. The Brookings Institution estimates that $70B of cash transfers would be required to eliminate the poverty gap; the aid sector currently spends $135B each year, much of it on evidence-free interventions. GiveDirectly wants to change that, establishing cash transfers as a benchmark for foreign aid – as the index fund is a benchmark for the financial industry – and in the process accelerating the end of extreme poverty.

In Short

• Lead the Cash + Coaching initiative at GiveDirectly.
• Design and pilot coaching models in operational contexts.
• Manage partnerships with external organizations.
• Translate behavioral science into scalable delivery systems.
• Develop digitally enabled coaching tools.
• Ensure tools are user-friendly in low-connectivity environments.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships.
• Contribute to sector positioning around scalable models.
• Travel for field visits and collaboration.
• Foster an inclusive and dynamic work environment.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years in graduation or cash-plus programs.
• Experience with digital coaching products.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
• Alignment with GiveDirectly's values.
• Language requirement: English; French preferred.
• Experience in low-income or marginalized communities is a plus.
