Manager, Security Logging Engineering - Remote

Overview

As the Manager for our Security Log Engineering team, you will shape GitLab's security logging vision while owning our SIEM/logging platform, overseeing workflows for log collection, and building strategic partnerships across various teams to ensure our logging solutions meet company-wide needs.

Requirements

• Experience with SIEM/logging platforms (e.g. Splunk, Devo, Elastic).
• Knowledge of public cloud security (GCP and AWS).
• Experience with CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code platforms such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Ruby.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in security detection and incident response.
• Ability to manage and develop teams.
• Experience with Linux systems and observability architecture.
• Ability to work asynchronously in a remote environment.
